Assists with providing relevant activities, guidance and motivation for emotionally disabled adults in a residential environment, with the eventual  goal of independent living and integration into the local community. Serves as a role model, coach and mentor within a project setting.

High School diploma or equivalent with two (2) years of college preferred; course work in human services or equivalent human service experience. Desirable characteristics include high stress and frustration tolerance, good personal support network and exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

 

Licensed Clinical Therapist - Part Time - Kokua Counseling Services - Oahu Admin Ofc.

Under indirect supervision, provides ambulatory behavioral health services including evaluation, diagnosis,  treatment planning, case management and psychotherapeutic intervention provided to individuals, families, groups and/or intensive outpatient programs; provides services to adults of all ages, adolescents and children; supports compliance with code of ethics; maintains confidentiality; protects organizational assets; exhibits ethics and integrity; adheres to applicable federal and state laws and regulations, accreditation and licensing requirements, policies and procedures; reports and/or resolves issues of non-compliance

Education/Skills: Graduate degree in social work from an accredited college or university, passing score on the clinical level national board examination, and supervised clinical social work training, as required by Hawaii Revised Statues (HRS) 467E-7

Other: Desirable characteristics include high stress and frustration tolerance, good personal support network and exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Valid Hawaii driver’s license and access to a vehicle, clear driving record, current CPR/First Aide certifications and TB/Health clearance. Licensed and registered to practice nursing.

 

Case Management Admin. Coord - Full Time - Hilo

Supervises and/or provides administrative supervision of:  Case Managers, Clinical Specialists and related support staff. Provide case management services for up to 10 clients.  Services will include:

Provide follow-up on service linkage and monitoring of case dispositions with continued client support as necessary. Assess the need for psychiatric and medication evaluations, make appropriate referral consultations with the medical staff. Assist client in budgeting resources when appropriate. Assist in accessing medical care. Provide guidance and assistance in seeking and securing entitlements. Participate in collateral, conjoint, and family conferences necessary to client’s achieving treatment goals and objectives. Coordinate Crisis Workers, Nursing staff and other Case Managers in implementing activities involving clients to include individual group, family, and recreational/diversional activities congruent with the client’s individual treatment plan. Provide Outreach services.

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Nursing, or other health-related field. Experience working with the mentally ill, developmentally disabled and/or suicidal clients and able to demonstrate knowledge of client assessment and case management. Valid Hawaii driver’s license and access to a vehicle, clear driving record, current CPR/First Aide certifications and TB/Health clearance.

 

Clinical Therapist - Part Time - Honolulu (Kokua Counseling Services)

Case Manager - Full Time - Kauai, Hilo

To coordinate and provide Case management services and to ensure the efficient day to day operation of the program.

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Nursing, or other health-related field and licensed in the State of Hawaii as one of the following: APRN, in behavioral health, Board Certified Psychiatrist (M.D.), Clinical Psychologist (Psy.D. or Ph.D.), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT) and experience working with the mentally ill, developmentally disabled and/or suicidal clients and able to demonstrate knowledge of client assessment and case management.

Ability to serve as a role model for people needing assistance with daily living skill and community acceptance.    Ability to work inter-dependently with all members of the mental health provider team, families and support network.  Ability to provide services with culturally appropriate sensitivity.  Good communication skills.  Computer literate.  Current CPR/First Aid Certifications, Current TB/Health Clearance, Valid Hawaii Driver’s License, clean traffic abstract and access to an insured vehicle. Able to respond to clients 24/7.


Residential Assistant - Full Time - Sierra House -TLP, Hilo

Outreach Worker - Full Time - Kauai

Provides outreach services to mentally disabled adults who are homeless.  Functions as the key coordinator of services between the consumer, the Agency and community resources.

High School Diploma or GED equivalency, with three years experience in human services.  Bachelor’s Degree with course work in psychology, sociology, or related human services field preferred.

Ability to serve as a positive role model for homeless people needing assistance with daily living skills and community acceptance.  Desirable characteristics include tolerance to stress in crisis situations, good personal support network and exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.  Ability to work inter-dependently with all members of the mental health provider team, families and support network. Ability to provide services with culturally appropriate sensitivity to persons who are homeless. Good communication skills.  Computer literate (MS Word & Excel).  Current CPR/First Aid Certifications, Pre-employment 2-step TB clearance & Health Clearance, Valid Hawaii Driver’s License, clean traffic abstract and access to an insured vehicle.
